| 今日２月２日、長良川へ行きました。 昨日より渓流釣りが解禁になりましたので 沢山の釣り客でにぎわいました。 初日は40匹釣った人もいました。 今日はあまり調子がよくないようでした。 フライ、ルアー、餌釣りと試しました。 未だ水温が低いのでもう少し温度が高くなるまで待つ必要があります。 それでも気分だけでも味わえてよかった です。 |

 渓流に住むイワナやあまごを何時も自分の部屋において観察したいと思い、試行錯誤して飼育いた事があった。 冷たい水に住む鮭科の魚は渓流に住んでいる。 その美しさは熱帯魚とは違ってまた別の美しさがある。 渓流で釣った魚は弱いので直に死んでしまう。 この弱い魚を持ち帰り自宅でいつまでも長く生かす方法は無いものかと思案した。 当時は冷水魚を生かすための水槽を冷やす装置は小型でも高すぎた。また大きなサイズのものはなかった。 自宅には井戸があったので井戸水を使う事にした。 一年を通して摂氏１７度ｃの状態であり、夏でも冷たく飲んでも美味しい。 水道の配管を部屋の水槽まで引いた。 地下水からポンプを使って室内まで引き込み、水槽を通して冷却し温度の上がった水は外に排出する。この管理はスイオンセンサーとＰＣを使う。 ＰＣの制御盤でリレーで水道のバルブをコントロールする方式だ。 水槽には水温センサーを接続した。 水温が１７度以上になった場合冷たい地下水を水槽に自動供給した。 １７度以下になれば自動停止した。 溢れた水は外部へ排出した。 自然水の循環を利用した水温管理システムが完成した。 ＰＣを２４時間稼動させる事で魚を生かす事は実現できた。 幾つかの問題も発生した。 温度の変化の幅にバラツキがあると短時間に水の供給が繰り返した。 ソフト的に解決ができた。 たった１匹の魚を生かす為に専用のパソコンと制御ボード、２４時間稼動のための電気代金。カミナリのための停電対策。水槽につく露対策。 いろいろな課題が発生した。 真夏の４０度のとき、カミナリの停電でＰＣ、水道が停止。 家に帰ったら水槽の魚が腐敗し臭いが部屋中に充満していた。 魚には悪いことをしたと思った。 真夏は水槽と外気温の差が開き、水槽の周囲に水滴がつき部屋中の湿度が高くなりすぎた。 費用を注ぎ込めば出切ることは判ったが随分費用も高くつく事も判った。 エサを与えると食べ方の習性も判りおおよその動きについても判った。 腹が減れば貪欲にどんどんと食べる事も判った。 空腹でないときは見向きもしない事も判った。 真正面から食べずに、横に来たとき首を振りパクと食べる。 知らないふりをしていきなりくわえ込む。 今まで知らなかった事が判った。 どうして正直に食べないのか。まだまだ不思議な事もある。 経済的に行うにはやっぱり川で見るのが一番経済的でしょう。 ただ何時も見れるとは限らない。 自分をどれだけ自然の摂理に合わせる事が出来るかである。 この実験は２年で終えた。冷たい地下水が潤沢に出るチャンスに恵まれれば又いつか試行してみたいと考えている。 |

私は海の魚を自宅に置いて観察をしてみたいと考えたときがあった。海に潜れば様様な生物を見る事ができる。 小さなさかなでもバケツにいれておけば直に死んでしまう。 これは海釣りでよく経験しているのでわかる。 この原因はバケツの酸素が直に無くなってしまう事に起因する。 ちなみに空気を供給してやればしばらくは生きている。 エサを与えないと魚は餓死してしまう。 エサは熱帯魚店や釣り道具屋で生餌を入手できる。 エサを食べた後は排泄される。 排泄物をそのまま放置すると水中にアンモニアが増えて魚は死んでしまう。 地球の世界と同じである。 アンモニアをろ過し、二酸化炭素を酸素に変える微生物の働きを借りる。 港湾近くで採取した海水を運んできても不純物や雑菌を含んでいる。 その為海水は人口の塩を海水と同じ成分に混ぜることで海の水を作る。 全体の循環サイクルが出来上がると魚は何ヶ月も生かす事ができる。 その為の手間隙と費用もそれなりに必要になる。 酸素、餌、排泄物のろ過、温度の４つの課題をクリヤできれば海水に住む生物を生かし続ける事が出来る。 色彩の鮮やかさは淡水の比ではない。 海の世界を毎日自分の傍に置いて眺めることで感動を受ける。 毎日ダイビングをしてるようだ。 |

 何時もグ
ランブルーの世界を自分の近くにおきたいという思いから水槽を部屋に置いた。川から捕獲したタナゴや水生の貝を水槽に入れたら産卵を始めた、そして次から次えと増えた。 どうせならと水槽にヒーターを入れグッピーを入れたらまた次々と産卵をして、子供が増え続けた。 もしかしたら自分には生まれつき魚を繁殖させる才能があるのではと思い込んだ。 どうせやるならば最高に難しいとされるディスカスの繁殖に挑んだ。 アマゾンに住むディスカスは丸い形をしてかわいい表情を見せるため、当時でも１匹数万円の高値で売られていた。もちろん鑑賞用であり食べても美味しくは ない。 完全なブルーをしたものは養殖も難しく、マニヤの間では先進国への見学ツアーがあった。 そこで購入したものを大きく育てる事に成功したマニアはプロへ転向していった。 皆が難しいというので、ますますチャレンジがしたくなった。難しい程ファイトが出てくる。 そこでまず環境を作る事から始めた。 当時１２畳のプレハブの部屋を仕切り棚を作った。３段の棚には幅90ｃｍの水槽を１２本置いた。 天井、床、壁すべてに断熱材を入れた。すべてが鎖された空間のため人工の自然環境を作り出すために、暖房、給水、排水、空調、照明までを、１６ビットパ ソコンを使って集中管理出来るようにした。 熱帯のジャングルと同じ状態を目指した。 冬でもパンツ１枚で過ごすことが出来、快適だった。 無音の世界で建物の外とは完全に遮断された。一旦部屋に入ると、入り口のドアをノックしないと判らない。銀行の地下金庫のような状態である。 中に入ったまま外に出るまで日にちが変わった事に気が付かない事があった。 設計から施工まですべて自分でやった。 施設の環境はペットショップとは比べ物にならないと自負をしていた。 ハードは出来た。 飼育方法については暗中模索だった。 種親は高価なため稚魚を５－１０匹購入して親まで育てた。 親まで生育するには３－５匹ぐらいにまで減る。 水を作るのに苦労をした。原産地と水質が違うので水素イオン濃度を調整したり、バクテリアを変えたりした。専用の水だけの水槽管理に時間を費やした。 環境が整うといよいよ繁殖の開始となる。 繁殖期が来た。毎日観察していると、オスが特定のメスを追いかけるようなしぐさをする時期がある。 求愛行動の始まりだ。 カップルを別の水槽に移し変えた、水が安定したところで、少し水温を上げると。産卵を開始する。 ７０粒前後産卵する。親は何時も卵が孵化するように何時もエラで新鮮な水を送り込むようになる。 気をつけないと親が何かに興奮して卵をすべて食べてしまう事があるので目がはなせない。 あっという間に全滅してしまう。 途中色が白くなるとかびが生えて死んでしまう。病気との戦いが始まる。 最初はこの段階で失敗を繰り返した 受精が終わると卵は分割を繰り返し卵の色が変わるといよいよ、割れて幼生になる。 次々と子供が生まれて動き出す景色を見ると感動する。 試行錯誤を繰り替えながらようやく見通しがたち始めた。 １回で３０匹前後の稚魚がうまれ次第に大きくなるのを見ていると楽しい。それが年何回も繰り返すのである。途中で弱い子供は死んでゆく。 ２０匹程度が稚魚となる このまま行けば小金持ちになれかとも思った。 しかしここで思わぬ障害が発生してしまった。 １年中高温多湿で熱帯と同じような環境でいたため。家中がいたんだ。特に屋根の腐食が始まり、雨が漏り始めた。又水槽の重量に床が耐え切れず沈下し始め た。 水槽から定期的に排出される排水の臭いにもクレームがついた。 とうとうこれ以上維持する事が出来なくなり。計画を断念した。 機材の殆どを地元の小学校に寄付した。 教材と使用するにも多過ぎたので途中から断られた。 これで高級熱帯魚の繁殖計画は失敗した。 またしても随分と無駄使いをしてしまった。 今では繁殖情報はネットでも入手出切るようになった。以前よりは楽になったと思います。 |
